Description Enhanced Pilates Mat completes the mat training by adding rings, rollers, bands and balls to the traditional Mat exercises. In addition, Enhanced Mat includes functional exercises for the upper and lower body expanding the Mat work beyond the core to develop whole body strength and flexibility. The Balanced Body programming system is introduced to make class design easy, effective and fun. Adding props to a mat class makes them more dynamic, creative and accessible and clients love toys!
Enhanced Pilates Mat + Props Instructor Training course includes:
-Detailed manual and instructor training video to support your learning process.
-The Balanced Body Movement Principles to enhance your teaching skills.
-Balanced Body programming system to help you create classes quickly and easily. Photos of each exercise sequence to aid in class design.
-Progressions, regressions and modifications to make Pilates Mat useful for everyone.
Enhanced Pilates Mat + Props expands the concept of Pilates mat to reach a wider audience and create new fitness opportunities for you and your clients.

Online Requirements:
If you are taking this course Online, you will need to have the following equipment:

  • A mat. Additional props, which may or may not be used in class include, resistance bands (medium and light resistance), a Pilates Magic Circle (Ultra Fit Circle and other Pilates rings acceptable), a foam roller, and an inflatable ball (8 – 10″ or TOGU Ball).
  • Taking online courses: While we believe there is no better way to learn movement then in person, we understand that online is a good option for many. When taking a movement class online, you, must be completely visible to the instructor, lighting must be good enough to see detailed movement, and internet connection must be reliable and strong as Balanced Body is not responsible for lost class hours if your internet crashes or your connection is unstable.

To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Mat Instructor, students must complete the following:

  • Anatomy (strongly recommended)
  • Movement Principles – Course work, written test (16 hours)
  • Balanced Body Mat 1 – Course work, written test and practical evaluation (16 hours)
  • Balanced Body Mat 2 – Course work, written test and practical evaluation (16 hours)
  • li>Balanced Body Mat 3 – Course work, written test and practical evaluation (16 hours)

  • 20 Mat Personal Sessions and 15 Observation Hours and 35 Student Teaching Hours
  • Balanced Body Final practical and written exam (Test Out)

Total hours for completion of Mat program: 134 hours (not including anatomy)

Upon completion of all the requirements, a certificate of completion as a Balanced Body Mat Instructor will be issued.

      • Cancellation of your class will incur the following fees:

      • $100.00 fee if written notice of cancellation is received by Balanced Body up to five (5) days before class start date or a $50.00 transfer fee to transfer from one course to another.
      • $250.00 or the full course fee, whichever is less, if written notice of cancellation is received by Balanced Body within five (5) days before class start date or a $50.00 transfer fee to transfer from one course to another.
      • No refund is given for any cancellation received on or after the start date of the training.
      • Instructor Training Manuals and Videos are non-refundable.
      • NOTE: These policies may not apply to any training offered outside the USA.
