Karen Jansen, one of the game’s top female instructors and fitness experts, was recently named a lead coach for GOLF Channel Academy.
Jansen joins a group of the most distinguished and influential coaches and facilities in the game today, all operating with the active support of NBC Sports’ GOLF Channel. With 88 locations canvassing 30 states, Canada and one European country, GOLF Channel Academy is among the most expansive golf instruction networks in the world today.

An LPGA Master Teaching Professional with more than 20 years coaching experience in the golf and fitness industries, Jansen, the 2008 LPGA National Teacher of the Year, has been recognized as one of America’s “Top 50 Best Golf-Fitness Professionals” and “50 Best Women Teachers in America” by Golf Digest magazine. From 2016-’19, Jansen served as Vice President of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Membership. She has also been a part of the LPGA Education Committee and Teacher Education Program, training instructors in the United States and Korea for more than 10 years.
In addition to her teaching accolades, Jansen is a certified Pilates Instructor and AFAA/NASM Personal Trainer. Her Cardiogolf™ program is designed to help athletes improve their golf and fitness by combining progression exercises and golf swing drills tailored to increase flexibility, strength, coordination and swing technique.
Jansen is married to former Olympic Gold Medalist speed skater Dan Jansen and is frequently requested as a public speaker and lecturer at golf shows and conferences.
