What made you decide you wanted/needed an exercise program?
When my littlest was born I really stopped taking care of myself. Last year I was diagnosed with scoliosis, and decided I really needed to do something about it.
What made you start doing Pilates?
Years ago a girlfriend invited me to a private Pilates class with her. I was immediately hooked.
What do you like about Pilates?
I love how Pilates helps improve my flexibility, while helping to build muscles. It has also greatly helped my back pain.
Have you done Pilates at any other studio?
I have done Pilates at another studio for a few years.
What results have you achieved since starting your program?
I have definitely noticed myself getting stronger, my posture has greatly improved, and I haven’t had any back problems since starting Pilates again.
How did you get motivated to achieve your goals?
Initially I was only motivated to start working out again, because of my back pain. However, now that I’m starting to feel stronger I’m more motivated to keep going and work out even more.
Is there anything about you that makes your exercise story unique?
What would you say to people that haven’t been able to stick to an exercise program for encouragement?
I believe you have to find something you love to do, or you won’t continue. I absolutely LOVE doing Pilates. It truly makes me feel accomplished and happy.
What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?
Give it a try! And give it time. I would commit to trying it for a month, and then decide what you think. There are so many little things to learn with Pilates, but once you get it, it’s a great workout.
What do you love best about 15 to Fit?
I love the instructors at 15 to fit. Each one does things a little differently, and it makes it exciting. No two classes are ever alike. The instructors are also able to teach to the different students and make each class work for everyone.
