How long have you been taking Pilates?
I have been doing Pilates for almost a year. Since last March.
What do you like about 15 to Fit?
My favorite thing about it is it is the favorite part of my day. When I’m there I’m focused, relaxed, and doing something that feels good for my body. While it can be quite challenging at times, it’s honestly the calmest I feel all day hands down.
How has your body changed since beginning Pilates?
I feel so much stronger. Toned. I can do things I never ever thought possible.
What have you done to achieve those results?
I just show up:) As hard as it is to just get up and get in the studio or any gym for the matter, I actually look forward to being in class. If I don’t make it one day, I can tell. My body doesn’t feel as good. I try not to think about anything but just getting there. When I do I just listen and am always shocked at what I can do.
What would you say to someone who has a hard time sticking to an exercise routine?
I would say find something that suits you. We are all so different. There are so many traditional exercise methods that quite honestly are like prison for some people. Some people like running, some do aerobics, some weight train. Those things scare people if you don’t enjoy them. Truth is there are endless ways to exercise, find one that you enjoy or can can at least show up for. I’m so thankful I found reformer Pilates, because it has changed my life.
