Congratulations, Diane O, for being our Mooresville Star of the Month!

Age: 75
Occupation: Retired

What made you start doing Pilates? As I have gotten older, I felt it was important to not have to push on my hands to get myself out of a chair. I drive a low car and don’t want to have to push myself out of the car either. I knew I wanted to get stronger.

What do you like about Pilates? Love that it’s not endurance training. Love doing it with my whole family. Instructors are fun. 15 To Fit is enjoyable, makes you feel good, and keeps you from getting old.

How long have you been doing Pilates? 11 months here at 15 To Fit. But I did it for about 10 years in my past.

What results have you achieved since starting your program? I have definitely become more flexible.

How did you get motivated to achieve your goals? When I decide I want to do something and I just do it, so it wasn’t hard to find motivation. But I remembered many years ago that I had to use my hands to get out of a chair, and I decided I have to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program? It’s something that’s at your level, so you don’t feel criticized. You don’t have to feel competitive when you’re working out. Even in a group, it’s very personalized. You get great input from the trainers. People exercise without a trainer all the time. But doing it this way, you get way more out of it.
